Payroll helperPAYE 2025 bandsSHIF + AHL inclusive
ℹ️
This calculator follows the 2025 PAYE logic: Taxable income = Gross salary minus allowable deductions
(NSSF, SHIF, AHL, approved pension, mortgage interest). Then PAYE is applied using the current tax bands and
reduced by personal & insurance reliefs.
Always confirm with KRA or your accountant for any new Finance Acts or changes.
1. Salary & income
Use monthly amounts in Kenyan shillings (KES).
Basic salary + taxable allowances + commissions.
These do not reduce taxable income, but affect take-home pay.
2. Optional allowable deductions (before PAYE)
These reduce taxable income (within legal caps). If unsure, leave them as 0.
Tax-deductible up to KES 30,000 per month.
On qualifying home loan, up to KES 30,000 per month.
Life/health/education policies. Relief: 15% of premiums up to KES 5,000/month (max KES 750 relief).
Please enter a valid gross salary greater than zero.
